"Learn knowledge from those around you."

'Hippo' has been thinking a lot lately about maintaining a vibrant brain. She is open to ideas for projects that can be attempted so that many of her peers could also benefit along with her. 'Seahorse' has made a suggestion that our friends that are not volunteering at all yet, become volunteers. His thoughts are that then it will be a great way for them to meet new folk while dedicating their time to a cause that they believe in, and the people they meet will also have big hearts. 'Unshelved' suggests that some of our friends or acquaintences join a book club or start one of their your own. Hippo likes to expose her brain to fresh ways of thinking and then it fires up new neural pathways as you try and analyze what other the person is saying. We have all heard that a brain that isn't stimulated by new thoughts is very limited and will begin to make super highway pathways into wee country roads. In contrast, some of us learned in a workshop that the brain that is open, remains in a younger state and more flexible with each entry of new ideas. 'Aurora' is a new lady that has recently joined us at the cafe and has attended some of our activities. She strongly advises that talking to others and sharing and exchanging information is a great fun way to learn. So our challenge to each other today is to see if we can find a buddy to elevate and expand our minds on some topic we don't know much about.
Maybe you can come up with a fresh idea or topic that we can learn more about the subject.
