Hippo's Day begins in a healthy way!

Smoothies are very nutritious and delicious. Depending on what ingredients  you use , you may increase the vitamin and mineral content. Here are a few recipes to get you started...
Papaya and Pineapple Smoothie 
2/3 cup yogurt
1/2 papaya pieces
1/2 cup pineapple pieces
1/4 cup strawberries
2/3 ice cubes-Mix on blend-1 min. or so


Peach and Carrot Smoothie
1 fresh peach (pitted)
1/2 cup yogurt
1/2 cup raspberries and 1/2 cup
2 med. carrots(small pieces)                                  
2/3 ice cubes-Mix on blend-1 min. or so


Citrus Smoothie
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup yogurt
1 banana and 1/2 cup blueberries
1 tsp. matcha tea powder(opt)
2/3 ice cubes -Mix on blend-40 seconds or so


Hippo's very Favourite Smoothie
1/2 cup yogurt
2 small trees of brocolli and small amt. of another raw vegetable
1/2 cup blueberries,1/4 apple pieces,1/2 cup strawberries, 1/2 cup melon and 1 banana
1/2 cup orange juice
1 tsp matcha tea powder, wheat germ, flax(ground)
2 /3 ice cubes-Mix on blend -40 seconds or so


You may add flaxseed oil (1 tsp), oats,wheat germ (1 Tbsp.) These are opt. and only suggestions. I also use non- fat or low fat- yogurt. Be creative! Enjoy!
