What a busy day in our neighbourhood

Several of my friends took a ride on the 100 year old streetcar to the Fringe today. They all enjoyed the experience of going over the High Level Bridge and then through the tunnel. Quite a sight.. There were a lot of children and adults at the Fringe today just taking in the day. Some were going to attend plays of all types, as the afternoon approached.Of course food and beverage was on everyone's agenda throughout the day. There appears to be an abundance of beverage bars and plenty of free entertainment, but I am not sure if the Fringe is maintaining its Theatre /Arts theme for the family to enjoy.I actually noticed a few acts that were not 'Class Acts' My personal feeling is that our area is not large enough to accommodate for 'what' their 'take' on family outings or theatre /arts buffs.I do think that Capital Ex should suffice for folks wanting that kind of entertainment that is at the '10 day Fair' and the numerous rides that are here this year are not required at such an event.I have noticed that the 'play park' is not near as well attended as usual, with good gatherings of children and parents and grand parents. That is supposed to be part of the scene. When you live in the neighbourhood, you perhaps feel a little 'put upon' by change and style with some inappropriate booths and acts. I feel much better now that I have vented and we'll hope that the organizers and city council look at both the negative/ positive results about this present situation and make appropriate changes for the future at the Fringe.
